Planning FOR 2022 - 2023
FROM THE DOE
NEW NYC SCHOOLS ACCOUNT (NYSCA)
Families can now access the new NYC Schools Account (NYCSA) portal, which consolidates several important parent-facing applications in one place. In addition to seeing information for MyStudent, such as grades, attendance, and transportation, families will also be able to access Parent University and the Bullying Reporting online form.
Parents can reset the passwords to their student’s DOE e-mail accounts through the Manage Account page; please note the change in URL from http://mystudent.nyc to
http://schoolsaccount.nyc. Families who currently have an NYCSA account will automatically have access to new features in the portal.
DOE VACCINATION PORTAL
Please upload an image of your child’s vaccination card or NYC Excelsior Pass to the DOE’s vaccine portal at vaccine.schools.nyc.
Submitting this information will support New York City’s pandemic response and recovery efforts, helping to ensure that our school communities remain safe and healthy.
SUMMER ASSIGNMENTS AND SCHOOL SUPPLY LISTS
Complete DOE guidance regarding COVID-19 safety and health protocols are available and updated.
Booker T.-specific info can be found at Returning to School Buildings.
SCHOOL DAY HOURS: 8:40am - 3pm
NOTE: Students arriving to school after 8:50am are marked late.

Full schedules will be provided to students on the first day of school. Students travel with their homeroom class to all of their classes with the exception of their language and music elective (7th and 8th grade). The process of changing language and/or elective classes for seventh and eighth grade students will be announced shortly.
Course grades are updated using Jupiter. Log in info will be provided to families this fall. If you have any issues, contact Student Coordinator, Erica Williams.
ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL
The protocol will be updated as info becomes available.
All grades will have orientations in-person, during the first week of school. Topics included organization and time management skills, ice breakers and group activities. Students were also given a building orientation to aid in navigating among the hallways and rooms.
