THANKSGIVING food drive

Picture
THANK YOU to all the generous families who donated to our Thanksgiving food drive this year! Thanks to the Booker T. community, 18 families in need will receive big bags of staple pantry items before the Thanksgiving holiday.  You have made this holiday abundant and joyful!

We are deeply grateful to Anne McIntosh Pejovich for recognizing this need in our community and working tirelessly to ensure every family had food on their table this year. We love you, Anne!

Other food access options include:

All year:
  • The Westside Campaign Against Hunger on West 86th Street and West End Avenue. Please visit their website for more information.
Summer months only:
  • Ascension Church on West 107 Street between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenues has a food pantry.  The pantry is open throughout the summer; distribution is from 10am to noon on the third Saturday of each month.
  • Any New Yorker can get free "grab & go" meals across the city, Monday through Friday, 9am to 1pm. To find locations, dates, and times near you, visit schools.nyc.gov/summermeals.
