Weekend Bridge and Street Closures - March 14-15

Two of three lanes of the Brooklyn Queens Expressway at the Summit Street Pedestrian Bridge (vicinity of Gowanus Expressway) may be closed in each direction Sunday 5:00 am to 8:00 am, and one of three lanes may be closed 8:00 am to 9:30 am, to facilitate NYCDOT bridge inspection work.

Because of track replacement work by NYC Transit, 21st Street between Queens Plaza South and 41st Avenue, Queens Plaza North between 22nd Street and 21st Street, and the 21st Street entrance to the North Upper Roadway of the Queensboro Bridge will be closed from 10:00 pm Friday to 10:00 pm Sunday on all weekends in March. Motorists should plan alternate routes or follow posted detours on these weekends. Access to the North Upper Roadway of the Queensboro Bridge will be from Queens Plaza South at 11th Street.

Riverside Drive between 116th Street and 135th Street in Manhattan will be closed on Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for the Grant's Tomb Criterium.

The following streets in the Bronx will be closed on Sunday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm for the Bronx St. Patrick's Day Parade: Formation: Lafayette Street between East Tremont Avenue and Swinton Avenue. Route: East Tremont Avenue from Lafayette Street to Harding Avenue; Harding Avenue to Davis Avenue. End at Harding Avenue between Davis and Robinson Avenues

The following streets in Brooklyn will be closed on Sunday from noon to 4:00 pm for the Brooklyn Irish American Day Parade: Formation: Prospect Park West between 9th Street and 15th Street. Route: 15th Street from Prospect Park West to 7th Avenue; 7th Avenue to Union Street; Union Street to Plaza Street; Plaza Street to Prospect Park West; Prospect Park West to 15th Street. End at 15th Street and Prospect Park West.

The following streets in Queens will be closed on Sunday from noon to 2:30 pm for the Hindu Phagwah Celebration: Formation: Liberty Avenue between Princeton Street and 133rd Street. Route: Liberty Avenue from 133rd Street to 123rd Street; 123rd Street to 95th Avenue; 95th Avenue to 127th Street. End at 127th Street and 95th Street. Dispersal: 127th Street between 94th and 95th Streets; 94th Street between 127th and 129th Streets; Smokey Oval Park.
