Missing Person - please look for - pass along - Hannah Upp

This is about Hannah Emily Upp, 23, who has been missing since Friday, August 29, from her residence in the vicinity of Hamilton Terrace, Harlem.

I was given a poster tonight to put up by a former college classmate. This is real. You may google the name to see recent articles about this case.

This link includes the flyer and some more info.

PTA General Meeting

2008-09-09 19:00

FIRST GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING - PTA OF M.S. 54
Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 7 pm
Auditorium
Spanish translation and childcare will be available free of charge.

Please attend!

This is a great way to learn more about our school and help your child in the process. Many of you have not had the opportunity to attend M.S.54 PTA Meetings. You will hear the Principal report on what has been going on at your child's school, as well as discuss the impact decisions made by the Department of Education might have on your child's education. It is also an opportunity to discuss your issues of concern.

School Starts

2008-09-02 08:40

School (2008-9 year) starts on Tuesday, September 2nd at 8:40AM.

Extracted from Dr Elster's note on the BTW Email Update from August 26 (mailing list)

  • Many parents (especially sixth grade parents) escort their children to school on the
first day. If you decide to do so, you will by no means be the only parent here. Some
parents meet their children at the end of the day as well.

  • Parents do not escort students to their classrooms. While it is hard for parents to
send their children inside by themselves, there are many friendly faces inside to help
escort the students to their classrooms. We know that the first day butterflies are huge
